Contact Devices enables you to set up contact information in order to receive email and/or text alerts you establish through the Alerts Maintenance option on the Settings menu. Adding a contact device is your first step before creating an alert.


Contact Devices Interface

Here are the different fields on the Contact Devices page:

Field Definition
Reset Filter(s) This button clears any filter options that have been set.
Add Device Select when you want to add a new device to receive alerts.
Name Displays the descriptive name you establish for your contact device.
Type Options include Email or Phone.
Address Shows your either email address or your phone number. Phone numbers should be entered in an SMS Gateway format – which lists your phone number as an email address. For example: [email protected]
Here’s a list of SMS gateway domains based on popular providers:

  • AT&T: @txt.att.net
  • Boost Mobile: @sms.myboostmobile.com
  • Google Fi: @msg.fi.google.com
  • T-Mobile: @tmomail.net
  • U.S. Cellular: @email.uscc.net
  • Verizon Wireless: @vtext.com

If your provider is not on the list above, search “[Provider name] SMS Gateway” through your preferred search engine.

Edit Select this icon to adjust the name, type, or address of the contact device.
Delete Allows you to delete an existing contact device.
