Forecast overview

Forecasts in DTN TIMS helps users identify opportunities to improve profitability and avoid unnecessary cost.

Settings > Forecast is your go to place to set up your forecasting tool for calculating anticipated future truck liftings for specific products at specific terminals.

Overall, Forecasts through DTN TIMS affords you vision into your forecasted truck demand, scheduled bulk supply, and resulting forecasted ending inventory balances. You can also manually enter planned bulk receipts, bulk deliveries, and override truck forecasts.

Forecasting in DTN TIMS allows you to:

• Anticipate run-out and storage capacity constraints

• Receive notification for inventory balances outside of tolerance

• Avoid reactionary spot purchase or sales

• Avoid discounted rack pricing

• Minimize demurrage situations
